Clik here to view. Each week during the NFL season, we have participated in weekly salary leagues at various sites and Week 6 marks the first time we are making a return trip as we are at Draft$treet for the second time.
This site uses a $100,000 salary cap and the roster consists of 2 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 2 FLEX and 1 DST. We always fill the FLEX positions with running backs, so it is essentially four running backs for us. This site gives four points for touchdown passes and ½ point per reception, so quarterbacks are less valuable.
As usual, we don’t splurge on elite quarterbacks, opting for value and upside instead. As for the four running backs, we were happy to be able to afford two top end backs, and we filled the other two slots with cheap sleepers.
So here’s DFSN’s Week 6 DraftStreet roster for the $500 Freeroll:
QB – Tony Romo, DAL ($12,058): Yes Romo threw five interceptions vs. the Bears, but Dallas has had two weeks to work on its offense thanks to a bye. Romo still threw for 307 yards in that game and Baltimore is 22nd in pass defense.
QB – Ryan Tannehill, MIA ($9,991): Tannehill has some nice upside for his dirt cheap price as he followed up his 431-yard passing performance two weeks ago by completing 17-of-26 for 223 yards last week.
RB – Arian Foster, HOU ($16,646): As mentioned in the opening, going cheap at quarterback allowed us to get a couple of top shelf running backs, and they do not get any more top shelf than Foster, who is second in the NFL with 532 rushing yards.
RB – Darren McFadden, OAK ($11,799): We actually have McFadden as our second rated running back this week, so he may be the best value in the whole league at this price. He is facing an undersized 27th rankedAtlanta run defense.
WR – Andre Johnson, HOU ($11,316): Andre Johnson is still one of the best receivers in the NFL, but his numbers do not reflect it becauseHouston has been running so much in blowout wins. The Texans won’t blow out the Packers.
WR – Jeremy Maclin, PHI ($8,413): We went bargain shopping here as Maclin is now probably the healthiest he has been all year. He seems primed for a breakout effort vs. a questionableDetroit secondary.

Clik here to view.TE – Jermaine Gresham, CIN ($7,047): We like to go cheap on tight ends and Gresham has a chance to be a top 10 tight end this week. He had 60 receiving yards vs. a good Miami defense last week and Cleveland is 26th in pass defense.
FLEX – Alfred Morris, WAS ($10,228): Mike Shanahan made the right choice at running back at the beginning of the year as Morris ranks fourth in the NFL with 491 rushing yards on a nice 4.9 per carry.
FLEX – Doug Martin, TB ($9,868): Yes the rookie Martin has a disappointing 3.5 yards per carry average, but run-blocking guard Carl Nicks is now healthy and the Bucs figure to run better vs. the 22nd ranked Kansas City run defense.
DST – Houston Texans ($3,021): We fully understand thatHouston is facingGreen Bay, but you may not get one of the best defenses in the league this cheaply for the rest of the year.
Total Salary: $99,337
